Access to Work

Access to Work is a government grant available to anyone with hearing loss.  You can apply for an Access to Work grant to pay for any equipment you need to hear better in whatever work you do.

Hearing loss should not affect your ability to participate as an equal.

You may be eligible to receive a grant from Access to Work if your disability or health condition stops you from being able to do elements of your job. For those who are hard of hearing, this will take the form of not being able to fully participate at work due to the inability to communicate effectively.

To be eligible for the Access to Work grant to must comply with the following criteria:

• Have a disability or health condition which affects your ability to work
• Be in paid employment, be self employed (or could be unemployed about to start work with a confirmed start date)
• Be aged 16 or over
• Live and work in England, Scotland or Wales
