The PDA103R Small Room Hearing Loop System is ideal for small room applications such as meeting rooms or classrooms up to 50m2 (7m x 7m).  Designed where equipment needs be mounted above suspended ceilings, etc.

Description

The PDA103R Small Room Hearing Loop System is ideal for small room applications such as meeting rooms or classrooms up to 50m2 (7m x 7m).  Designed where equipment needs be mounted above suspended ceilings, etc.

The APM microphone supplied can be used for ceilings up to 2.5 meters and positioned centrally.  For ceilings higher than this, you would require a Pro45 Hanging Ambient Microphone which can be suspended from ceilings up to 12m.

The PDA103R kit comes with everything you would need to create the hearing loop with the benefit of the amplifier being fitted with a standard 3 pin plug so no specialist installation would necessarily be required.

The system includes: PDA103 amplifier; PL1/PSU1 plugtop power supply; APM Omni-directional plated ‘outreach’ microphone; 6m Belden cable; 40m loop cable; ‘Hearing Loop Fitted’ sticker.

 

How does it work?

A fixed hearing loop such as the PDA103R Small Room Hearing Loop System comprises of an Amplifier and a length of loop cable that would be installed around the perimeter of the room.  This creates an electromagnetic field which would be picked up by the receiver in the hearing aid. Anyone wearing a hearing aid with the T-coil setting could connect to the hearing loop. The amplifier will connect to the APM omnidirectional Microphone positioned using the belden cable supplied, and should be positioned centrally in the room.
